Permissions and Licences

Analytics Viewer can be customised to allow different users different permissions when using the application. There are two main types of user that can use Viewer, available from our licensing scheme.

Viewer user

Viewer-only user licences are restricted to the functionality provided by Viewer and cannot use Analytics to change or modify reports. These users utilise reports created by fully licensed Analytics users.

The selection of reports and data that appear in a report is determined by the permissions allocated to both the user and the report by the system administrator.

Permissions include:

• Ability to drill through data
• Use of filters
• Realms and User Groups
• Index access
• Search Engine access
• Types of reports available
• Exporting and emailing capability

Static Viewer user

Static viewer-only user licenses are a further restriction on what a user can to do with a published report. Static viewers are unable to filter the data, either by selecting the filter panel to change the parameters, or by drilling through the data.
