Import a script
To import a script from an XML file, click the button on the toolstrip to open the Import Script dialog.
To Select Script XML File, click the browse icon, locate the appropriate file in the standard file browser window and click the icon. The import screen will check the selected file to ensure that it is a valid XML file and pre-set the script name. The following checkbox options are available before importing the script:
- Keep Revision Number: The Revision Number is the number of times the script has been saved. When this option is enabled, it will keep the script revision number when imported instead of resetting it back to 0.
- Add imported date suffix: When enabled, it will append the current date to the import script name
- Move file after import: When enabled, it will move the file after import
- Load List Data: If this option is checked then any Lists and their associated Items will be imported into the project database. If a list already exists you will be asked to confirm what the Import screen should do and you will have the option of not importing the list, merging the list with an existing list, or replacing the existing list with the imported list.
- Load Variables: If this option is checked then any global variables defined in the script XML file will be imported.
- Load Images: If this option is checked that any images in the script XML file will be imported, where an image with the same name already exists you will be given the choice of either not importing the image or giving the image a new name.
- Update Database: If this option is checked the Import screen will update the pContactsExtra table with any defined fields it finds in the script XML file.
