Global Settings

These settings apply throughout the entire system and not just for a specific project or projects (like Project Settings).

Some settings are optional and some are required but if any required ones are missing they can easily be added or amended in this screen.

To access the Global Settings editor, select the following menu options:

The Global Settings editor will now appear on an editing tab. The left-hand side of the screen is a list of all the currently defined settings and the right-hand side of the screen contains the editing panel.

All settings can be found on the List of Global Settings.

Actions

The following actions are available through the toolbar:

Icon Description

Add a new setting. You should rarely need to add a new setting as Infinity comes supplied with the settings you need, but from time-to-time you may be asked to add a setting by a member of the Infinity team.

Type in the name of the setting in the 'Code' box. Select the setting type from the drop-down list below - the setting type you select will determine how you can input into the 'Value' box.

Now you can click the icon to add your setting.

Edit an existing setting selected on the list. Click the icon when done.

Note: You cannot edit the name or the type of setting once it has been created.

Delete a setting. On rare occasions, you may be asked by a member of the Infinity support team to delete a setting. You will be asked to confirm your action - think carefully and check you have the correct setting selected before continuing.

Warning: Deleting a setting is not recommended unless you are specifically asked to do so by a member of the Infinity team.

Saves your changes on the settings.
Toggles the settings display between 'All' (blue icon) and 'Editable Only' (black icon).

Permissions

If you find that you cannot add, edit or delete a setting - then it is probably because you do not have the required permissions to perform these tasks. Please see your Infinity contact for help in this matter.
