Areas

This section allows you to define the blocks/codes that will be used to restrict which owners can take booking for. An area could be a geographical region, postcode, town, type of customer etc.

If using Areas to restrict which owner a contact can be booked for, the data must exist on the contact record and be passed to the Diary Control when shown to agents taking bookings.

The Areas can be accessed by selecting the following menu options:

The left panel displays the existing areas and the right panel displays the settings of the selected area.

Actions

The following actions are available through the toolbar:

Icon	Description
	Updates the list of areas
	Add a new area by providing its settings
	Edits the settings of the selected area
	Removes the selected area from the system (with confirmation)
	Stores your area changes
	Toggles the display of the inactive areas

Settings

The following details are available for each area:

• Code: The name of the area
• Description: A description for the area

• Owner in Area: Check the owners to be assigned

  Note: The same mapping can be done through the Owners screen.
