Status Bar and Warnings

On the top of the Console Interface stands the status bar.

In order from left-to-right the following information is displayed:

  • Product name: The name of the software product. You can customise the displayed product name by using the "Title" parameter in the 'Settings' section of the Infinity Application Configuration File.
  • Site name: The Site Name for the current installation

  • Warning indicator: An exclamation mark will be displayed if there are issues found during some checks that are carried out at various points throughout the product.

    The types of things that you may get warned about (amongst others) are:

    • Projects that are outside of their validity period
    • Projects that are due to expire in the next seven days
    • Problems loading a control module
    • Settings are in effect that alter default behaviour

    Clicking the Warning Indicator displays a pop-up screen with more details about the warnings.

    You have the option of using the icon to remove the warnings but if the reasons causing them in the first place have not been addressed, then they will re-appear at some stage.

  • User name: The full name and the username of the currently logged-in user. Clicking on it displays a pop-up screen with the user details and a list of his access rights/permissions.

    Note: The colour of the icon on the left of the name in the status bar signifies the user's access level. Red=Super Administrator, Blue=Agent and Green=any level between these two.

  • Technical Information: Opens a pop-up displaying technical information such as Infinity version, configuration and database filenames, IPs, etc.

    • ConfigurationFileUsed: Configuration file selected at start-up (either manually or automatically)
    • ConsoleWebserviceURL: URL of the webservice that the system is currently using
    • SystemDatabase: SQL Server/Database currently in use
    • MachineName: Name of the PC the current instance of Infinity is running on
    • Language: Language Code of the language file currently in use
    • GatewayIP: Name of the server hosting Infinity's messaging system
    • LicenceIP: Name of the server hosting Infinity's licencing system
    • CodePage: Code page that is currently in use
    • ExtensionNumber: Extension number associated with this machine (if any)
    • Projects: Number of projects on this system

    The clipboard icon copies this information along with the full list of Infinity files with associated versions to the clipboard for exporting them to a text editor.
